Seattle - Day One: Playground, Tea Party, Hot Tub, Games

Our first morning in Seattle started with bacon and eggs breakfast. Adam and Devin typically cook a hot breakfast where we usually don't at home, so this is luxury!

We didn't really have anything planned for our first day and kind of wanted to take it easy. The kids are enjoying playing with all of Emmett and Brynn's toys. Here's Katy and Lily on their outdoor swings.

About 9:30 we went for a walk in their neighborhood to a nearby playground.

We took a scenic route home and there was lots of cool flowers different than we see growing at home in Ohio. We used the "Look Up - Plant" feature on my iPhone to learn some of the names.

Blueblossom

Foxglove

Black Mondo Grass

After lunch, Lily wanted to have a tea party and set one up with all kinds of fancy snacks and fancy rules we all had to follow.

The kids were also really excited about trying out Adam and Devin's hot tub.

Later in the afternoon Devin and Mary and Lily and Emmett and I went grocery shopping and stocked up for  the week. Got home and made dinner. Alex came over and picked up Joe in his new Porsche and they took a drive to the downtown REI store to prep for their upcoming climb on Mount St Helens later this week.

After dinner we played Jackbox TV games together and had some great laughs playing Quiplash, TKO, and Drawful. After two straight days of LOOOOONG drives it was really nice to have a relaxing day at home and get to spend time with family.
